Arrived at petronas station at 6.35 a.m. Guess what? Tuan Sim drove me, Elaine, I Shuen, Ka Sen and Jie Hui to the charity run using the AMBULANCE. And its the NEW No.2 ambulance. My first time travelling by ambulance. I will never forget that feeling. The glass is tinted, so no one knows who or what is inside it, and even the garish lights outside wouldn't blind our eyes. There was a stretcher trolley, oxygen tank, immobilisers etc.
So thr were 13 ppl altogether who went to duty: Puan Tan, Tuan Sim, Vei Lynn, Elaine, Queenie, Connie, Thu Yuen, Yuen Theng, Jie Hui, Ka Sen, I shuen, Wai Yien and me. Tn. Sim put Ka sen with Queenie and I Shuen with Elaine. The others were allowed to chose their own partners. Me and Jie Hui were partners but then Tn.Sim asked one of us to follow Thu Yuen, the other follow Vei Lynn. Jie Hui wanted to go with Vei Lynn so I followed Thu Yuen. We were at the first Checkpoint. Saw a man cycle while lying down. Amazing! There was a little boy who fell down and cut his hand. He's so adorable..
Then, after all the contestants finished the 1st checkpoint Thu Yuen and me take shortcut to the last checkpoint. Another little boy fell down and hurt his leg. We used iodine so by the end of the day me our fingers were yellow in colour. Went back to base using ambulance. I sat in the FRONT SEAT! wow. That means i sat on all the stretcher trolley, seat, and front seat. *syok sendiri.. But there was still a family so Thu Yuen and Connie teman Elaine and I Shuen to walk back with them.
Ate curry bihun when we went back to base. Had Indocafe coffee, which is cooling in this hot weather. Jie Hui and me had 3 cups, I Shuen 7 cups, Ka Sen 6 and a half cups. Went to ronda. Took a group photo. And we got two towels each from a nice aunty. Pn. Tan told me her experience with a red ant when she went to a camp. According to her, the red ant was hard to brush off as it bites and holds on to you. Ouch..
11.30 p.m. Puan Tan sent me and the others home. Tn. Sim fetched the remaining people. Thank you.. I learned alot today.. AND went on the ambulance. I totally agree with Sok Kuan that this new ambulance is beautiful.. :)
