I watched Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story.. which is the movie they made from Dr Ben Carson's book. i liked the part where he did a hemispherectomy on a girl who had seizures 100 times a day.. which is just awesome..

And another amazing thing he did (from Wikipedia):
In 1987, Carson made medical history by being the first in the world to successfully separate twins (the Binder twins) conjoined at the back of the head (craniophagus twins). Operations to separate twins joined in this way had always failed, resulting in the death of one or both of the infants. Carson agreed to undertake the operation. A 70-member surgical team, led by Dr. Carson, worked for 22 hours. At the end, the twins were successfully separated and can now survive independently.

As Vei Lynn said, 'Neurosurgeons are wonderful living beings'

We both agree that neurosurgeons are awesome... :DD

I wanted to look up on medications for epilepsy,
didn't find the one i was looking for,
but ended up with, like 20 medications.
I was like 'woah..'
Felt like eating them up.
By that i meant the info, not the medications.
I do NOT have epilepsy..

the info is well.. great! :)
That day teacher asked us about our ambitions.
My first choice was to be an author, but somehow it changed 360 degree, into a doctor, which has nothing to do with an author.
I still remember the fact that i was afraid of blood like, 4 to 5 years ago..
the teeniest bit, and i would've gone into shock. Or avert my eyes..
But not now. I still ponder on this bit.. WHY?
Have to go sleep now..

Bye!

Jie Xin =)
