SJAM 6th Area First Aid and Home Nursing Competition 29-1-11

Today morning, I woke up at 4.30 and went to Kelly's houise by 5, lugging all the things i have to bring. Today is a BIG day. It is our 6th Area Competition. Held in Seafield. Different divisions are joining in this competition, including Sri Kembangan, USJ 13 and us, the Seafield team.
We wore CONTACT LENSES!!! That was the first thing we did. After 15 minutes, i finally got both of the contact lens into my eyes. THe first thing i saw was a spectacled-less me. wow. And Jie Hui was still struggling to put in hers amidst our cheerings and Cpl Ng's 'Is it so hard to put the contact lens in?!'
Then, we waited in line for Pn.Tan and/or Connie to help us tie our hair. They were our 'bao mu's' for the day.
In between hair tying time, we studied first aid. With Cpl Ng being hyper while abusing Vei Lynn's Mashimaro. This is te first time we've (me, WY.ing, P.Er)ever seen Cpl Ng so hyper. lol. And he commented on spider webs on our hair after we put on our hair nets.. Pn.Tan was like 'SHUT UP!' xD
And then we walked to school diiringi by Pn Tan and Cpl Ng's car. Went into the 'quarrantine room' for NCs. Our team is NCC. Which is Nursing Cadet, C. The 2 other groups weer NCA and NCB. The 2 other teams were already there. Changed into our uniforms, helped by Elaine and Amelia. Twas time for uniform checking. We went out, walking like penguins and got scolded. :P We falled in and had our uniforms checked.
After that, it was competition time. We had short case first. The casualty was seng Hou who had fake injuries all over him.. They finished shortcase just in time.
Then, we went to the basketball court for kawad. Their kawad was AWESOME!!!
Lastly, we went for home nursing.
And had a case which the judge said we missed something..
But Vei Lynn and Pei Er explained their reason.. and she asked us to do the missing part.. (bed bath) I very kesian loh.. walk here walk there..
Pei Er: Puan, puan nak tengok apa rancangan? Me: House. Pei Er changes channel, we stand there watching.. walked another round.. PE: Puan nak tengok wayang apa? Me: Twilight. Now, don't get me wrong, i'm not a big fan but this was what i thought about thanks to Mr.Ting and Pei Er.. We walk anohther round.. PE: Puan, sekarang dah tukar ke rancangan New Moon.. Everyone was like O.O?? So fast?? Anyway we managed to get through it.
1 p.m. Time for closing and prize-giving ceremony..
We sat down and held hands.. Then, they started announcing.. 'pemenang NC untuk kawad kaki dan uniform checking.. NCC!' OHMYGAWD!!! We stood up and went onsage to recieve the award amidst the tepuk kommandos.. We reached our seats and almost sat down when.. 'pemenang NC untuk perawatan pendek.. N..C.. C!!!! OOOOHMYGAWD!!! We wenmt onstage again. Came back down while they were announcing.. 'pemenang NC untuk home nursing IALAH.. N..C..C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *my heart exploded.. *AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had just sapu EVERY award. And this makes us the OVERALL CHAMPION.
Our NA team, team NAB had also got OVERALL CHAMPION.
You could imagine how happy we were. Our hearts were floting higher than cloud 9.. We get to go into the state competition together! :DD
Thank you to everyone.. to my fellow team members, our trainers, those taking care of us (the 'nannies') my family, those who came, those who organised this, the jugdges, and everyone.. =)
