Yesterday was our school's 16th sports day. And we had perbarisan competition. DECs had to reach school by 6.15 a.m. So, i woke up on 5.40 a.m. , prepared and lugged my box of blankets + a pillow into MPSJ. I saw Wan Ying and Jie Hui infront of me. So, i shouted Wan Ying's name. Twice. She turned around and said ' THAT'S JIE XIN'S VOICE!' xP and we went to base together. Met the others there and DECs masuk barisan. THen, everyone masuk barisan and we kawad around the track once.
Hari Sukan started, we lintas hormat and stood there listening to them, and keluar baris.
THen, duty started.
I was in base for shift one and at checkpoint 2 for shift 2. BASE!!! But i only got to treat one case.. haih.. but twas awesome anyway, being able to help the casualty and the adrenaline rush.. i was looking for cotton balls to treat her wound.. and was kinda in a hurry as i was the only one doing this.. then someone took the dettol and started preparing things..Thank you to Zian Xiang for coming to help with the Dettol and antiseptic cream.. and Yee Yie who came after she saw us..
we met Dr Benjamin and he said that he remembered me and Hueh Xin cause we play FB.. haha..
Base leader was SOK KUAN!! :DD
as Zian Xiang wasn't on duty, he took some awesome pics..
I then went to checkpoint 2 and had nothing to do.. except for playing the 'okaay..' game with melanie and cheng yi.. :P and we invented an 'FAK treatment'.. for fun.. xD went back to base for awhile.. and Dr Benjamin told us about flail chest, haemothorax etc. Then, i went to Checkpoint 4 to ganti Wan Ying.. came back.. and went to ronda with Melanie and Pei Er.. met Zian Xiang and I Shuen.. Melanie started talking for a long time and didn't even notice us running away.. Then, time for the RESULTS:
THIRD PLACE FOR PERBARISAN IS ST JOHN AMBULANCE!!!

"Don't ever let yourself believe that the role you play in the lives of other's is not an important one, especially in the lives of the ones you love and who love you. No matter how big or small that role is, or may seem, it's a very important one, and it is one that only you can play." Don't underestimate yourself. Someone out there may need you. -David Archuleta

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
